death. Summary of Experience As the OSHA Assessment
Specialist at the Rumford Paper Mill, I led an effort to identify and
eliminate potential violations in manufacturing equipment. This was done
through inspections and auditing of areas throughout the entire mill. I also
trained and coached groups of employees to become local area inspectors of
their work areas to identify problems or concerns with equipment and how to
rectify those problems. I led an effort to improve crane safety throughout
the mill and am a certified through Crane Safety USA to do inspections and
train employees in the safe use of cranes at any given facility. I worked
with outside contractors and vendors to meet and exceed safety requirements
on work performed by their respective entities at the mill. I helped develop
a safety checklist to be used on capital investment projects to eliminate
having to go back and redesign or reconstruct a piece of equipment or project
after completion of that project. Most importantly was my daily interaction
with all mill employees, hourly and salary, was to identify flaws in
equipment and institute the process to eliminate the deficiency, and work
with employees individually or in groups to improve ways to work safer in all

1978 to Present Operator R-15 Paper Machine Currently I am crew leader on R-15 Paper Machine. I lead a crew
of five in the production of paper and also to oversee that we accomplish
this feat in the safest most efficient manner possible. •
I started and the Area Safety Committee on R-15 and led the effort to reduce
injuries by improving working environment and to raise awareness about
inherent job risk to employees. •
